Frequently Asked Questions
How do I paste content into Loft?
Copy the text anywhere on your Android device, open Loft, and tap Paste. Loft can also detect clipboard content automatically when you open the app, and you can share text to Loft from another app or use the Loft entry in the text-selection menu. If you prefer, you can turn clipboard auto-detection off in Settings.
How do I open a local file?
From the Home screen, choose to open a file and pick a Markdown or text file stored on your device — or open the file from your file manager or another app and choose Loft. The file is formatted and rendered locally; it never leaves your device.
How does reading history work?
Documents you have read recently appear on the Home screen so you can reopen them, and you can search that list. Reading history is stored on your device only and is never uploaded.
How do I save or share an image for free?
In Reader, use the standard Save/Share option to render the whole document as one complete image. This path is free, has no usage limit, and carries a small Loft mark. Saving writes the image into your Pictures library through Android's media library, so Loft asks for no storage permission on Android 10 or newer.
What is Loft Pro?
Loft Pro creates readable multi-page PDFs for long content and images without Loft branding. Each install includes three free successful generations. After that, you can continue with one optional one-time purchase through Google Play — no subscription. Reading, themes, history, local files, and standard image Save/Share remain free whether or not you buy.
How do I restore Loft Pro?
Open a document in Reader, tap Pro, and choose Multi-page PDF or Image without Loft branding. Loft first checks your Google Play ownership automatically. If the sheet does not recognize your purchase and shows Restore, tap it and use the same Google Account that made the purchase. After Google Play confirms the purchase, Loft continues the requested export automatically. If it still fails, check your connection and Google Account, retry, or email us.
How do I turn analytics on or off?
Analytics and diagnostics are off by default. You can turn them on or off at any time in Settings, and Loft works fully either way. See our Privacy Policy for details.
