MicroHabit Privacy Policy
1. Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to MicroHabit for iPhone, provided by Shanghai VeloTract Information Technology Co., Ltd. (上海轻引信息技术有限公司) ("we," "our," or "us").
2. Habit Data on Your Device
MicroHabit stores your habit names, schedules, completion history, reminders, archived-habit state, and app preferences in local app storage on your device. MicroHabit does not require an account and does not provide cloud sync for this data.
3. System Services and Purchases
A reminder is scheduled only after you choose to enable one. Purchases and purchase restoration are handled by Apple through StoreKit. We do not receive your payment-card details.
4. Product Analytics, Diagnostics, and App Configuration
Optional product analytics and diagnostics are off by default and remain off unless you choose to enable them. If you opt in, a third-party analytics and diagnostics service provider processes product interaction data, purchase history, and an approximate country or region for product analytics; a persistent identifier for this app installation and other usage data for product analytics and app configuration and functionality; and crash data and other diagnostic data for app functionality and stability diagnostics. MicroHabit does not collect precise location or use Location Services or GPS to determine the approximate country or region.
This service data does not include your habit names, notes, or other user-entered habit content.
The third-party service provider processes this service data on our behalf. The data is linked to this app installation for the purposes above. We do not use or permit it to be used to track you across other companies' apps or websites, for targeted advertising or advertising measurement, or to share it with data brokers. We require the provider to use the data only to provide these services and to protect it consistently with this policy.
5. How We Use and Share Information
We use each service-data category only for the purposes listed above. The third-party service provider processes it on our behalf as described above. We do not sell this service data or share it with data brokers.
6. Retention and Deletion
Habit data is stored locally on your device and is not kept on our servers. Deleting MicroHabit removes the app's locally stored data from that device. Purchases remain managed by Apple and can be restored with the same Apple Account. If you opt in, the third-party service provider retains service data only for as long as needed to operate, improve, and protect MicroHabit or meet legal obligations. Turning analytics and diagnostics off stops future collection after you fully quit and reopen the app; it does not immediately delete service data already collected, which remains subject to this retention policy.
7. Your Choices
You can turn off a reminder in MicroHabit or in iOS notification settings. You can choose not to make a purchase, and you can use the free product without an account. On first opening, you can choose whether to enable optional product analytics and diagnostics. You can change that choice with the “Help improve MicroHabit” switch in Settings. A change in either direction takes effect after you fully quit and reopen MicroHabit. After an opt-out takes effect, future analytics and diagnostics collection stops, and app functionality is unaffected.
